Love of Art
What We've Accomplished

We raised $721 to purchase 6 boxes of art supplies, which we donated to the Monarch School for homeless youth in San Diego on August 11, 2022.

We then wrote another article for the Del Mar Times, which was published on September 1, 2023.

In summer 2024, we raised $1,765 through a mango tart and cheesecake bake sale. We used $1,000 to buy art supplies for the Siempre es Familia orphanage in Tijuana, donating them on August 18. Out of respect for the children’s privacy, no article was published.

We submitted a news article to the Del Mar Times to attract members and donations; it was published the week of September 2, 2022.

ABC News later invited Kate for an interview on 10News Positively San Diego, where she was featured on September 13, 2022.

We held another mango tart bake sale and sold hand-drawn cards, raising $941. We used the funds to buy 12 boxes of art supplies for Castle Park Elementary in Chula Vista, which we donated on August 11, 2023.
At the end of September 2024, we expanded our organization by setting up a chapter in San Jose, CA. The leader of the San Jose branch has not yet donated, but they have currently raised $250 from their small fundraisers and plan to make an art supplies donation by the end of the summer.
In November 2024, we had another cheesecake fundraiser, raising $715 (which we hope to use for this year’s donation).
Thank you Mr. Hao Tang for your love of Art Donations. Mr. Tang is 86 years old and currently resides in San Diego. He practices his art everyday!
